Claire Tanner is Danny's mother. She helped Danny with the girls in the first few months after the death of Danny's wife, Pam, and her first grandchild Rick, and once returned in the episode Granny Tanny. She was portrayed by Alice Hirson inOur Very First Show and The Return of Grandma, and Doris Roberts in Granny Tanny.
